Where is Canada heading?
Canada’s government declared a climate emergency in June 2019. 384 local jurisdictions across the country have followed suit. Internationally, 1,800 governments in 33 countries have done the same thing.
Yet none have done so in the parts of the world that are supposedly most at risk due to climate change, namely, in Africa and most of Asia. They understand that climate change is natural and current trends are anything but an emergency.
After all, the supposed global average temperature has risen only slightly more that 1 degree Celsius since 1880. Sea level continues its gradual rise at about 7 inches per century. Extreme weather records are being set less frequently and polar bears are thriving.
But Canada and nations around the world are trying to implement Net Zero by 2050:

This calls for the rapid elimination of fossil fuels, replacing them with so-called “renewable” energy such as wind and solar

The government estimated this to cost $125 to $140 billion every year

This will cause vast changes to our energy infrastructure and soaring electricity prices.

So far, the Federal government has spent $120 billion from 2015 to 2023. Federal and provincial governments will spend $476 billion over 2020 to 2030 period...this is $12,000 per person.
Taxes are hard enough...do you want to give $12,000 MORE to the government?
And for what? Is the climate really at risk of being destroyed by our carbon dioxide emissions?
